Booking Engine 4 is coming: a modern direct-booking experience

We've got news.

For a while now, behind the scenes, the team has been sketching, prototyping and putting a lot of careful work into something we're excited to share.

Today's the day.

Meet Booking Engine 4, or BE4 for short: a modern direct-booking experience, redesigned and built for the way guests book today. From phone to laptop, every step feels faster and clearer. It's the biggest update we've ever made to the Sirvoy booking experience, and the first version starts rolling out this summer.

Why your booking page deserves this

The booking engine isn't just another page on your website. It's an essential part of the moment when a curious visitor becomes a confirmed guest. It's where commission-free revenue is won or lost. It's the part of Sirvoy your guests actually see and touch.

For nearly two decades, the engine that powers that moment, refined again and again along the way, has done remarkable work for thousands of properties. Quietly. Reliably. One booking at a time.

And over those years, you've shared a lot of ideas about where you'd love it to go next. Clearer pricing. Easier extras. A flow that holds up on a phone. A journey guests can follow without second-guessing.

We didn't rebuild the booking engine because the old one stopped working. We rebuilt it to take it further. And Booking Engine 4 is the result.

The goal of BE4 is simple: more completed direct bookings, with less back-and-forth for everyone involved, your guests, your front desk and you.

  • A live summary cart that follows them through every step, with their selections and total in view.
  • Sorting and filters to help them find the right room faster.
  • A dedicated step for extras, so add-ons don't get lost between rooms and checkout.
  • A clear pricing breakdown at every stage.
  • A refreshed confirmation page that sets up a great start to the stay.

  • A modern look that sits naturally alongside your brand.
  • A design that holds up well on smaller screens.
  • The same modern flow when your front desk registers a manual booking.
  • A clearer experience for guests, which tends to mean fewer support questions reaching you.
  • A foundation we can keep building on, with more of your requested features rolling out over time.

All of this points the same way: fewer drop-offs in the booking flow, more guests reaching the confirmation page, and more time for you and your team to spend on the parts of hospitality that actually need a human.

And it doesn't stop at launch. BE4 ships with metrics built in, so we'll keep refining it based on what real bookings tell us.

Rolling out in phases

We want to launch this the right way, so we're starting small.

A first version opens up to a small group of beta testers this summer, covering the core booking flow: availability, room selection, guest details, payment and confirmation. Other parts, like extras, the availability calendar and coupon codes, will roll in later in the year. Properties whose setup fits the early scope go first.

And the part worth saying twice: your current booking engine keeps running the whole time, doing exactly what it does today. Nothing changes until you choose to switch.
