Sirvoy's story - rooted in real hospitality

Like many great ideas, Sirvoy was born out of necessity. When our mother, Birgitta, opened a hostel in Sweden in 2008, she needed a simple and straightforward solution to help her manage guest reservations.
So in response, the three of us – her sons – combined our skills in development, marketing, and management to build her some simple hospitality software that would help her business run smoothly. Little did we know at the time, that this bespoke software would transform not only her business — but thousands more around the world.
Over the past 17 years, Sirvoy has grown from a family favor into a global hospitality platform, trusted by customers in over 140 countries. What began as a no frills booking system is now a full suite of tools shaped by real feedback, which is grounded in fair pricing and supported by a team that genuinely cares about it’s customers.
We’re still a family business but we’ve been joined over the years by more and more colleagues that have become lifelong friends. Over the years, we’ve gained a deep understanding of hospitality, not just from building software, but from watching it lived out through Birgitta and the clients we work alongside. That experience has shaped how we think, how we design, and how we support our customers.

Hi, I’m Mats, CEO of Sirvoy. Nothing makes me happier than working alongside my amazing colleagues to shape Sirvoy’s future and ensure we can be the best we can be in helping our clients succeed. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me in my garden, tinkering away at my sauna, it’s turning into my other life’s work! Otherwise I’m spending quality time with my family at home where I’m happiest!



Hi, I’m Stephen. My love for travel, cultures, and languages began early. As a child, I spent extended periods living in the British West Indies and later, my first true passion was French (yes, the language), which led me to living seven years in Madagascar and Paris.
As a CPO in Sirvoy, I love to explore what problems our clients and their guests face. And I love working with my team to find the best solutions to them. When I’m not at work, I appreciate slow, grounding activities: reading (yep, only paper books), restoring old windows, arranging flower bouquets from our garden, or walking in the nearby forest with my wife and two daughters.



Hey! I’m Johan Wilfer, CTO. I discovered programming in my teens and have been coding ever since. Some friends of my parents suggested I pick up “a real hobby like cars or something”, but I wouldn’t listen to that.
Eventually my hobby grew into me starting my own company and after crossing paths with John Persson I’ve been coding on Sirvoy for the past 10+ years now – it’s been a ride!
When I am not working you would find me playing board games, lost in a good book or growing tomatoes in my garden.



After 10 great years in First Line and a chapter in Second Line, I’m now CCO- focused on making sure our customers feel truly supported every step of the way. Outside work, I’m a proud dad to two awesome boys, who’ve happily replaced my old hobbies of building stuff and FIFA marathons with snack time and superhero play.

Hi there! I’m Cindy, First-Line Support Team Leader. Before joining the amazing Sirvoy team in 2024, I worked in the exciting worlds of customer service and translation. I absolutely love learning new languages and discovering new destinations, so if you’ve got any travel or language tips – bring them on! Who knows? I might just surprise you by learning your language next.



Hi, I’m Ryan, and I’m part of the First-Line Support Team. I enjoy talking with clients and making sure their experience is tailored to their specific needs. Outside of work, I craft handmade traditional-style chef knives, where precision and care are essential. Just like working in Sirvoy, it’s all about creating something reliable, polished, and built to last!



Hi, I’m Brian. I love to build connections and enjoy meeting new people, hosting get togethers, and creating spaces where others feel welcome. Photography, especially bird photography, allows me to connect with nature, capturing amazing moments – all it takes is some patience and precision. I also love taking on DIY projects, using my hands-on approach to bring creative ideas to life, whether it’s through building, crafting, or home improvement. These interests reflect my passion for creativity, problem-solving, and making meaningful connections.



Hi there! I’m Sara and I’m a First Line Support Agent. My role is all about ensuring our customers get the help they need quickly and efficiently. Over the past 15 years, I’ve had the chance to work in everything from order administration and emergency dispatch to project and people management – it’s been quite a journey! I’m excited to bring those experiences into the Sirvoy customer journey and make a positive impact. When I’m not at work, you’ll find me out in the forest, soaking in the calm and serenity of nature. After a good hike, I love hosting friends and family for an evening of food, wine, and laughter.



Hi, I’m Joseph Lal! As a first-line support agent, I’m a natural problem-solver and optimizer who loves helping people tackle tech issues in creative ways – unless it’s my mom (please send anyone but me to help her with her iPad!). When I’m not devouring insights from podcasts, books, or the internet, I’m tinkering with spreadsheets, forcing my wife to watch classic movies, creating weird music on GarageBand, or pretending to be a writer. I also enjoy Christian volunteer work in the Tampa community, love hosting interesting people, and have a passion for travel, making me a natural fit for the hospitality industry.



Hi I’m Leonard and since 2022 I have had the pleasure and honor of working with Sirvoy’s amazing first-line customer support team. All my adult life I have worked in sales and customer service at various companies, and thanks to (childhood) friends I heard about Sirvoy. I am extremely happy to now be part of the team! What keeps me going are good friends, good coffee, (melancholic) music and exciting scent experiences.

Hi, I’m Michal, and I’m part of the Second-Line Support team at Sirvoy. My days often involve troubleshooting issues – usually from a tropical country where even the bugs seem relaxed.
I’ve always loved finding solutions and helping others (it’s like solving puzzles), and working at Sirvoy gives me the chance to grow and sharpen these skills every day. Outside of work, I enjoy relaxing with my closest friends, watching a good movie with snacks and a favorite drink. It’s the perfect way to unwind after a day of problem-solving!



Hello, I am Sabrina, second-line agent. My passion of solving puzzels/problems and the ability to speak several languages brought me to Sirvoy. When I’m not helping customers, you’ll probably find me baking up something sweet, hiking in the great outdoors or or petting any friendly animal I come across.



Hi! I’m Sandra, part of the Second-Line Support team. I genuinely enjoy the “tech detective” side of my job — tracking down tricky issues and putting the puzzle pieces together makes the workday fly by!
Outside of work, I’m learning Thai and Korean and making big batches of fermented kimchi. As you might guess, I’m a big fan of Asia and am constantly planning my next trip there with my favorite travel buddy — my husband!
I come from a big, loud Finnish family (think My Big Fat Greek Wedding, but with more sauna.) This means I’m very enthusiastic and tend to speak a bit loudly but I promise, I’m not upset, just very happy to meet you!



Hello. I’m Masaki Murakami from the Second Line Support Team. I have lived in many different countries which has given me the language skills that I possess today. I was invited to work for Sirvoy while I was living in the Guatemalan mountains. My hobbies at that time included roasting and drinking delicious local coffee and at present, living in Western Australia, enjoy swimming and surfing in the pristine blue ocean.

I’m Moa Hultén, part of the Customer Success team at Sirvoy. My biggest passion is helping people, and working at Sirvoy lets me combine my love for service with my background in the hospitality industry, so you’re in good hands. I’m also a theater enthusiast and love acting, mostly when I’m alone! But who knows? Maybe I’ll perform a scene for you one day.

Hi, I’m Jamal. Some say I have the travel bug and I couldn’t agree more! Born and raised in Denmark, I’ve spent over 20 years living and traveling across Asia, including China, India, and Indonesia, to name a few. Along the way, I’ve developed a deeper appreciation for diverse cultures, picked up a few languages, and discovered an enduring passion for exploring local cuisines.
At Sirvoy, I began my journey in translation and customer support, where I built strong connections with our users and helped them optimize their workflows. My favorite part of the job? Seeing our users thrive and knowing I’ve played a part in their success. When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me exploring new places, meeting new people, or enjoying time outdoors. I love connecting with others and make it a goal to learn something new every day.



Hi, I’m Simon. After a decade in F&B, I joined Sirvoy and brought my love for the hospitality industry to the Customer Success and First-Line Team. When I’m not at work, you’ll find me outside with my family or chasing after our toddler – less peaceful, but always an adventure!
