In 2005, David and Marie left the fashion industry behind and founded Swedish Country Living in the quiet countryside of Dalsland, Sweden. They poured their creativity into restoring country houses and Hermitage cabins, transforming them into inviting retreats where guests could connect with nature. Word spread about their warm hospitality and commitment to sustainability, culminating in a 2021 award for Sweden’s Most Sustainable Experience.

Running a small family business is no small feat though, and David and Marie were feeling the strain. “Before we found Sirvoy, we were doing everything ourselves,” David remembers.

“From handling bookings to sending invoices and responding to every email, it felt like a never-ending cycle. Like many hoteliers, we just wanted to find a way to make life easier.”

In its early days, Ronneby Brunnspark B&B relied on pen-and-paper records, which quickly proved insufficient for the demands of a growing business. Pehr found it increasingly inefficient to manage bookings this way. With each guest inquiry, another note was added to an already crowded ledger, making it harder to stay organized and offer the smooth experience he wanted for his guests.

Finding the right fit

Marie and David discovered Sirvoy during an information session hosted by the Swedish tourist board. Intrigued by its reputation for being both powerful and simple, they decided to give it a try. “We needed something that wouldn’t overwhelm us, and Sirvoy was just the right fit,” says David. The cloud-based system made managing their bookings, availability, and guest communication simple and intuitive.

“It was quick to set up, easy to use, and we could focus on the guests instead of the admin.”

David and Marie quickly realized that Sirvoy wasn’t just about handling the admin side of things; it also helped them enhance their guests’ experience.

“When guests know everything is taken care of before they arrive, they feel more relaxed,” David explains. “They can focus on enjoying their stay without worrying about extra costs or missing details.”
