Robert didn’t set out to become a hostel owner but growing up in a motel run by his mom, hospitality was always in his blood. After traveling the world and staying in hostels, he saw an opportunity to offer something unique. His first hostel, Auberge Nola in New Orleans, quickly expanded from one house to two. As the property became a go-to spot for travelers, Robert knew it was time to grow.
In 2019, Robert expanded his business with Auberge Clarksdale, Mississippi’s first-ever hostel. Located in Clarksdale, the birthplace of American music, it was the ideal spot for his second property. But what started as a smooth expansion soon revealed a new set of challenges that would force Robert to rethink how he managed his growing business.

Two properties, one overwhelming system
