Sirvoy’s channel manager can connect with Hostelworld to retrieve bookings and automatically update room availability and prices.

Tip: Our support team can set this up with you.

Before You Start:

  1. Create a Hostelworld account.
  2. On Hostelworld, remove the “Stop Sell” rate restriction. Otherwise, guests won’t be able to book after the connection is set up.
  3. Request a Hostelworld connection at support@sirvoy.com with:
    • Your Hostelworld account ID.
    • Your property name on Hostelworld.

Note: Hostelworld is only compatible with the “Stays not allowed” restriction at Settings -> Restrictions, any other restriction will be ignored.

Connect Your Sirvoy and Hostelworld Accounts:

Once Hostelworld has accepted the connection request, we’ll let you know via email and you can begin the connection process.

  1. In Sirvoy, go to Settings -> Channels -> Hostelworld and click “Edit”.
  2. Map your room types on Hostelworld to the matching room types on Sirvoy.
    • Prices for Hostelworld sub-rates must be managed from Hostelworld rather than mapped in Sirvoy (although they appear on the mapping page).
  3. Import any existing Hostelworld bookings to Sirvoy.
  4. Contact the Sirvoy support team and we will activate the connection.

Your Sirvoy and Hostelworld accounts are now connected!

Before You Go:

From now on, Sirvoy will control rates, availability, and restrictions (with some exceptions) for your Hostelworld account. Therefore, make all future updates to those features in Sirvoy because they will override those settings in Hostelworld.

Changes made in Sirvoy will apply to Hostelworld within minutes.

Hostelworld and Stripe

Hostelworld doesn’t send credit card security codes (CVC / CVV), so Stripe cannot charge the cards directly, but there is a workaround:

  1. Activate the Sirvoy Vault. This will automatically save credit card details from Hostelworld bookings in Sirvoy (except the CVC).
  2. Transfer the credit card details to Stripe and charge it. Click “Charge Card” within the booking and manually transfer the saved credit card details from Sirvoy Vault to Stripe. Stripe should now be able to process the card, even without the CVC.
