On the Rates page, you can use the Rates Manager to quickly apply a percentage rate change or spot price for a specific date(s) and room type(s). This is useful if you want to avoid creating seasonal price changes. In this view, you also have the option of applying an alternative predefined price list to any specific date for all room types at once.

  1. On the Rates page, click on the rate of a room type under a specific date. From the displayed date picker, select any additional dates you would like to apply the new rate to.
  2. Using the symbols shown, select whether to adjust the rate with a percentage (“%”) , override the base rate with a new fixed rate (“$”) or apply an existing alternative price list (“Use List”) to the chosen room type. Please note that any rate changes using an alternative price list will always be applied to all room types under the selected date(s).
  3. Click “Save”.

If you want to change all room types for a specific date, click on a date along the top of the Rates page. From the displayed date picker, select any additional dates you would like to apply the new rate to. Please note that in this case, you will only be able to change the percentage (“%”) or apply an existing alternative price list (“Use List”).

After saving, you will see the newly applied rate on the Rates page. A changed color and symbol will also indicate a price increase or decrease for the chosen date and room type.

Note: If a spot price has been changed using the Rates Manager, any rate found in the base rate, as well as seasonal/temporary price changes, will be ignored and overridden. The price entered on the Rates page will be used instead. Read more in the article How Room Rates Are Calculated When Using Multiple Rate Settings.
Note: With a flexible price model, the price is based on “Number of guests”, not “Max. number of guests (incl. extra beds)”.
